What every working mom needs is another working mom. That, in essence, is the idea behind SheWorks.
Nancy Hannon and Betsy Fitzgerald, founders of SheWorks, met when they observed each other doing what professional working moms do. They were watching their sons play baseball and checking their Blackberries.
The conversation and laughs that followed inspired Sheworks. Nancy and Betsy realized the fun and camaraderie they shared could be an enormous source of support for other professional working moms in the area. Since that moment, they’ve been looking for like-minded women who survive by lists, calendars, convenience stores and a sense of humor.
Multi-taskers unite.
There are women out there who get it. And get you. You won’t have to hide your ambition. Or, your child-raising conundrums. There are women who know how to celebrate a victory in business. And a bigger victory in potty-training. There are women facing wacky politics at work. And wacky teenagers at home. There are versatile, talented, fun-loving women out there. And the best part – they live near you. You just haven’t met them yet. That’s why we founded SheWorks.
SheWorks is a local organization and an online community. We connect professional working mothers for get-togethers several times a year where they can share interests, understanding and fun conversation. We also offer a 24-hour a day forum where working women can voice their thoughts on balancing work, family and their own sanity.
